Beach Tote Instructions:

Trace your child’s feet or copy template shape of our flip-flop pattern to fusible web.
Fuse shapes on to blue print fabric and cut out. Fuse flip-flop shapes on to tote. Top stitch using a zig-zag or button hole stitch.

Using a rotary cutter and cutting mat or scissors cut strips of periwinkle Chenille short cuts between the lines of stitching. Sew chenille strip to center of grosgrain ribbon. Cut into two equal length pieces.

Stitch center of chenille covered ribbon toward front of flip-flop as pictured. With chenille sides together, stitch across ribbon and back tack, 1/2” from where the ribbon is attached to tote, to make the flip-flop strap stand up. Fold ribbon toward back and stitch to outer edges of flip-flop to complete straps.

Mist chenille with water using a spray bottle. Brush with June Tailor’s® Chenille Fluffing Brush™.

To make border for top of tote:
Cut (1) strip of blue print fabric 2” by width of fabric. Press under ½” on both horizontal sides of strip. Stitching close to edges of fabric folds, sew in place along top edge of bag, leaving 8” tails for tying.
