Instructions
From background fabric, cut an 8 1/2" square
Cut four blade fabrics in 7" strips.
Lay fabric strips on cutting mat. Place Dresden Express™
16 on fabric strip aligning the bottom horizontal line of
ruler with the bottom edge of the fabric.
Make sure the fabric straight of grain will run down the
center of the blade as indicated on the ruler.
In succession; cut along one outside edge of ruler, in center
slots, and opposite outside edge of the ruler. This will
create three identical Dresden blades. Layer fabric strips
to cut multiple fabric blades at one time. Cut one additional
blade from same strip, by lifting ruler and realigning bottom
edge of remaining fabric with bottom edge marking of ruler.
For Pointed Top: Fold each blade lengthwise, right sides
together. Sew across the top wide edge using 1/4" seam
allowance. Trim inner corner, turn right sides out and press
with seam down the center.
Using a 1/4" seam allowance, stitch four blades together
beginning at top and stopping 1/4" from narrow bottom
edge. Press all seams to one side. Turn under 1/4" the
bottom raw edge of the four blades and press.
Place four-blade unit on background fabric square aligning
raw edges. Applique as desired.
