Quilting Glossary:
RST = Right sides together
RSU = Right sides up
WOF = Width of fabric
Crosswise = Follow grain; fold fabric selvage to selvage and
cut across fold.
All cutting measurements include ¼” seam allowance.
Sew in ¼” seam allowance.
Follow order of the steps as listed under each fabric.

Fabric A (green) 1 5/8 yard
Fabric B (pink floral) 1/2 yard
Fabric D (black swirl) 1/2 yard
Backing Fabric 1 5/8 yard Cutting Directions (Cut fabric crosswise unless stated)
Fabric A (green)
Cut (2) strips 10 ½” wide lengthwise, sub-cut into (6) 10 ½” squares.
Cut (4) strips lengthwise, 4 ½” wide for outer border.
Fabric B (pink floral)
Cut (4) strips 2 ½” wide for inner border.
Fabric D (black swirl)
Cut (6) strips 2 ½” wide for binding. Piecing Directions
Following the quilt layout diagram, piece rows, using large green setting
squares. Press seams toward setting squares. Pin the rows together at all
intersections of the seams. Attach row one to row two. Press seams toward
row one. Attach row three to row four. Press seams toward row three. Attach
row two to row three. Press seams toward row two.
Stitch inner border (pink floral) to both sides of pieced quilt center. Press
seams toward border. Trim off excess length.
Stitch inner border (pink floral) to top and bottom of pieced quilt center.
Press seams toward border. Trim off excess length.
Stitch outer border (green) to inner border (pink floral) in same manner.
Press seams toward outer border. Trim off excess length. Finishing
Layer quilt top, batting and backing. Quilt as desired. Bind. For
