Quilting Glossary:
RST = Right sides together
RSU = Right sides up
WOF = Width of fabric
Crosswise = Follow grain; fold fabric selvage to selvage and
cut across fold.
All cutting measurements include ¼” seam allowance.
Sew in ¼” seam allowance.
Follow order of the steps as listed under each fabric.

Fabric A (green) 2 3/4 yard
Fabric B (pink floral) 1 1/2 yard
Fabric D (black swirl) 1/2 yard
Backing Fabric 4 3/4 yard
Cutting Directions (Cut fabric crosswise unless stated)
Fabric A (green)
Cut (2) strips 10 ½” wide, sub-cut into (7) 10 ½” squares.
Cut (4) strips 9” wide lengthwise for outer border.
Fabric B (pink floral)
Cut (6) strips 6 ½” wide for inner border.
Fabric D (black swirl)
Cut (7) strips 2 ½” wide for binding.
Piecing Instructions
Following the quilt layout diagram, piece rows using the large green setting
squares. Press the seams toward the setting squares. Pin the rows together
at all intersections of the seams. Attach row one to row two. Press seams
toward row one. Attach row three to row four. Press seams toward row three.
Attach row two to row three. Press seams toward row three. Attach row five
to bottom of pieced rows. Press seam toward row five.
Stitch inner border (pink floral) to top and bottom of pieced quilt center.
Press seams toward border. Trim off excess length.
Stitch together (2) pink floral strips, end to end, to get the length needed
for the side inner borders. Sew pieced inner border (pink floral) to both
sides of pieced quilt center. Press seams toward border. Trim off excess
length. Attach outside border (green) to both sides first. (must sew on sides
first or you will be short on fabric)
Press seams toward outer border. Trim off excess length. Attach outer border
(green) to top and bottom of inner border (pink floral). Press seams toward
outer border. Trim off excess length.
Finishing
Layer quilt top, batting, and backing. Quilt as desired. Bind. For quilting
