What if red is still present on my stitches after my quilt has been rinsed? Back To Questions

The red color that remains is actually the Stitch’n Wash™ trapped under the stitches. The red color has not dyed your fabric or your thread; rather small pieces of the fusible are stuck under the stitches. This can happen when stitching is very accurate, tight or close together. To remove this color, we recommend using a very soft toothbrush or a jewelry brush to gently lift the stitches helping to free the trapped fusible. It may take some time to work, so patience is a must. To avoid this in future projects, we suggest that you stitch just inside or outside of the red lines to prevent it from becoming trapped.

Is Stitch’n Wash™ reusable? Back To Questions

Since the Stitch’n Wash™ is water soluble, it dissolves when it comes in contact with water. Once you have pressed your design, stitched and washed your quilt top, the Stitch’n Wash™ dissolves away.

Can I purchase “blank” Stitch’n Wash™ to create my own designs? Back To Questions

The Stitch’n Wash™ is not available in unmarked sheets. It is difficult to draw on the Stitch’n Wash™ with liquid markers since it is water-soluble. The Stitch’n Wash™ dissolves away as the design is drawn.
